Woodberry Wetlands Festival

The Woodberry Wetlands Festival was held at the Redmond Community Centre last month.  This allowed patients to meet staff and volunteers from the Heron Practice at our stall, and see what is going on.

Many new patients were registered, as their children played with  toys and a giant step piano, brought in for the event.

There will be another event in October 2024 to link in with our Flu campaign, and provide people the opportunity to come and meet the team.

New Garden at John Scott Health Centre

A brand new community garden has been created in the John Scott Health Centre complete with tools and plants ready to be cared for. There will be a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the garden to be announced soon.

In the meantime, any patients or staff interested in gardening can join the garden group by texting Frauke, volunteer coordinator on 07476 239081.

Together Better at your surgery!

We have FREE activities for patients at Heron practice, every week:

Walking group, crochet and art, yoga and tai chi, coffee morning and many more!

This is a chance to meet your community care coordinator and others from your community, or if you would like to volunteer and share your skills. We’re always looking for volunteers to deliver activities and exercise classes and support the surgery.

Everyone is welcome!  please contact Frauke: frauke@vchackney.org Mobile: 07476 239 081
