Neighbourhoods Health Fair?

Venue – the West Reservoir

The Neighbourhoods first annual Health Fair took place on 9th October 2024, to coincide with Flu season.

This was organised by the Woodberry Wetlands Primary Care Network.  This is the local  network of the four local practices.  Heron Practice, Cedar Practice, Statham Grove and Allerton Road.  The clinical team  from each practice were on hand to give out Flu vaccinations to their patients as well as the COVID Team from Richmond Road Medical Centre.

There were also health checks and blood pressure checks from the clinical support teams and representatives of the local Pharmacies, showcasing Pharmacy First.

Many  various local groups were invited to attend, to highlight what support can be found in the local area.  From Hackney Foodback, to Family Action,  First Contact Physiotherapy to Henry Mama Swim.

Not to forget free soup and freshly baked bread supplied by Humdingers Soup kitchen. Much to the appreciation of patients and all the stall holders attending the event.  Very tasty!!

There was a raffle with all the practices donating prizes as well as a free raffle with a Hamper.  Patients will be contacted over the next few days to pick up their prizes.

Thank you to the organisers at Woodberry Wetlands PCN as well as to all those who set up on the day, blew balloons and generally made everyone feel welcome, and if anyone was getting stressed there was a Meditation Zen bus with restful activities every hour.
