The Heron Practice, is based in the John Scott Health Centre, a listed building which was the first purpose built health centre in the country. In the environs of the Woodberry Wetlands, we are an energetic and dynamic practice, with a diverse mix of patients and staff members.
With over a 12,000 patient population pulling from the Boroughs of City and Hackney, Enfield and Haringey we are closely located by Manor House Underground station.
Dedicated to patient care the team led by four Partners are keen on providing quality health care to the surrounding community. To that end, this is also a teaching practice with both medical and nursing trainees to encourage onward growth of the practice and its ethos.
Firmly engaging with the Patient Forum Group, responsive to the needs of the patients and with links to the community via the Together Better Programme there are also various clubs and activities that patients can take part in from Yoga, to art classes, Coffee mornings and Boxercise.
As well as a team of qualified Salaried GP’s there is a range of other staff to help with more specific issues such as Clinical Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Practice nurses, physiotherapists, diabetic specialists, clinical psychologist and the Heart team. To help support issues which may be non -medical there is also a social prescriber, the Smoking cessation team and proactive care provider, who work out of the Practice with our patients.
Offering extended hour appointments on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays up to 7:30pm and in partnership with the linked practices in our Primary Care Network, we are able to offer out of hours appointments to facilitate those who are unable to attend during normal working hours.
In this way we hope to continue to provide quality care for our community and our patient population.
